What is actually inside a mystery jewellery jar?
Vintage and second-hand jewellery, sorted by hand from estate lots. Every product page lists the categories of item that jar can contain and the number of pieces. What is not disclosed is which specific pieces — that is the only thing withheld.
What exactly does a jar tell me before I buy?
Three things, on every product page: the categories of item it can contain, exactly how many pieces are inside, and what the pieces are made of. Nothing goes into a jar that is not on that list, and the count is the count. The only thing we hold back is which specific pieces you get — that is the product.
Is this gambling, or a loot box?
No. There are no odds, no rarity tiers, no jackpot item and no way to pay for a better outcome. Every jar of a given product is filled with the same declared categories, in the same declared quantity, from the same sourcing, so nothing about the purchase is randomised in a way that changes what you receive.
Can I choose what I get?
No, and that is the product. You choose the line, the size and the price; we choose the pieces.
Do the jars contain real silver?
The Vintage Silver line is sorted for hallmarked silver — 925 sterling and continental 800 and 835 — checked before the piece goes in. Gold-Tone Glamour is gold-tone base metal and says so. We do not use the phrase 'possible sterling'.
How many pieces are in a jar?
Between 6 and 45 depending on the jar, stated on every product page. The themed mixes hold fewer, larger objects; the jewellery jars hold more, smaller ones.
Will the jewellery be damaged or worn?
Worn, sometimes — it is vintage, and a softened plating edge or a warm patina is the record of the piece having been someone's. Damaged, no: broken clasps, missing stones and cracked shanks are pulled out before a jar is filled.
Can I return a jar?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind, whatever state the jar is in. With the hygiene seal intact you get the price and the standard delivery back in full; return postage is on you. With the seal broken you can still withdraw, but we deduct the jar's diminished value, which on an opened jar can amount to the whole price — the shipping and returns page sets out why. If something arrived broken that is a different thing entirely: photograph it, write to us, and we replace or refund at no cost.
Where do you ship and what does it cost?
From Catalonia to Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Czechia and the UK, plus the US and Canada. Flat €4.95, free over €50, dispatched within two working days.
How long does delivery take?
Typically 2–3 working days in Spain and 4–8 elsewhere, after a dispatch window of two working days.
Where does the jewellery come from?
Estate sales, vintage fairs and closing stock, bought in lots. Buying in volume is the only reason a jar can contain more value than it costs.
Are the jars restocked?
New lots are drawn at the new moon — sourcing runs in batches, so a sold-out jar returns when a lot supports it rather than on a schedule.
Is it a good gift?
For someone who likes vintage, yes, because you are giving them the sorting rather than guessing at a specific piece. Order with a week of margin, and remember that once the hygiene seal is broken a refund is reduced by the jar's diminished value.
