What a jar is
A jar is a sealed container of pre-selected items. Each product page states the categories of item the jar can contain and how many pieces it holds. You are buying that stated quantity of those stated categories. Which specific pieces you receive is not selectable and not disclosed before purchase.
This is not a game of chance
There are no odds, no rarity tiers, no jackpots and no way to pay for a better outcome. Every jar of a given product is filled with the same declared categories, in the same declared quantity, from the same sourcing. No element of the purchase is randomised in a way that changes what you receive relative to what is stated.
Prices and payment
Prices include VAT where applicable and are shown before payment. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details. An order is only confirmed once Stripe confirms the payment and you receive our confirmation email.
Availability
Stock is limited and updated when an order completes. If an item sells out between your adding it to the cart and paying, checkout will tell you before charging you.
Your right to change your mind
You have 14 calendar days from delivery to withdraw, without giving a reason. There is a model withdrawal form on this site and you may also just write to us. If the hygiene seal is intact you get the price and the standard delivery back. If it is broken, we deduct the diminished value of the jar under article 108.2 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, which on an opened jar can amount to the full price — the shipping and returns page explains why and how. Return postage is on you unless the jar arrived damaged or wrong.
Guarantee on second-hand goods
The jewellery in our jars is vintage and second-hand. As article 120.1 allows for second-hand goods, we agree with you a conformity guarantee of one year from delivery instead of the general three. Everything else about that guarantee is unchanged: if a jar arrives with a defect, we replace or refund at no cost to you.
Age
You must be 18 or over, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order.
Applicable law and complaints
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Nothing here limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer in the EU. We hold the official complaint forms of the Generalitat de Catalunya; ask for them at info@jarsofmystery.com.
