How it works

A mystery jar is a sealed jar of things we chose and you didn't. Here's exactly what that means, because most sellers of these won't tell you.

We source in lots

Estate sales, vintage fairs, closing stock. We buy whole lots at a time, which is the only reason a jar can hold twenty-five pieces and not three.

Everything is checked

Each piece is cleaned, tested where it matters, and rejected if it's broken. Wear is kept — it's vintage, not new.

Jars are filled to what they declare

Every jar names the categories it can hold and how many pieces. We fill it to that, from that lot, and seal it. Nothing goes in that isn't in the list.

You open it

That's the part we can't do for you.

This is not a loot box

There are no odds, no rarity tiers, no way to pay for a better chance. Every jar of a given kind holds the same declared categories, in the same declared quantity, from the same sourcing. You're buying a stated quantity of stated categories — the only thing withheld is which specific pieces.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind. With the hygiene seal intact, a full refund of the price and the standard delivery. With the seal broken you can still withdraw, but we deduct the jar's diminished value, which on an opened jar can be the whole price. If something arrived broken, that is a separate matter and we always put it right.
